Kinyongo Water Project

NACODEV has realized a dream at Ngangani village at a once dry seasonal stream by the name KINYONGO which after constructing a total of 30 sand dams in one stream, the dry stream has been transformed into a source of water where farmers/ residents are using the water for their horticultural purposes, livestock and  domestic uses. The dams are able to retain water during the longest dry season of June to October every year whereby a total of approx. 3,000 households are benefitting. The project is one of its own in YATTA sub County. This has been realized due to partnership with many [partners). Among them is Dorcas aid international, Food resource Bank, Njaa Marufuku Kenya and NALEP (GOK). The 30 Dams in Kinyongo stream are described as follows;
